Vinay Tolia began his finance career as an intern on the CBOE trading floor before moving into investment banking. He later co-founded Bengal Capital, a derivatives-focused hedge fund, alongside his brother Sanjay, which they successfully managed for over a decade.

Following a brief period leading a company through a public listing in Canada, Vinay returned to his core focus in finance. Recognizing that independent RIAs could benefit from deeper expertise in derivatives - particularly in the structuring and execution of structured notes - he co-founded Marine Layer.

Today, Marine Layer operates as a dedicated derivatives trading desk for independent RIAs, helping advisors navigate structured notes with greater precision while removing the operational complexity and administrative burden.

Vinay holds a BSE in Industrial and Operations Engineering and a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan. Outside of work, he is an avid sports fan and outdoor enthusiast.

Paulina Kashirsky brings over 15 years of experience in derivatives and structured products. She began her career on Merrill Lynch's derivatives trading desk before transitioning into structured note origination, ultimately advancing to a specialist role focused on customized structured solutions.

Recognizing the growing shift toward advisor independence, Paulina moved into the independent advisory space, where she has focused on delivering tailored, client-centric strategies. Prior to joining Marine Layer Advisors, she held roles at iCapital and AAM.

Paulina is known for her white-glove approach to client service and her deep expertise across the structured product landscape.

Andrew “Drew” Chadie brings over 18 years of experience in financial services, including nearly a decade focused on structured investments. Previously, he worked at Merrill Lynch, Pioneer Investments, and First Trust Portfolios, collaborating with advisors on structured solutions.

His family background shaped his career - his father worked as a financial wholesaler and his mother currently serves as a financial advisor. That foundation gave him insight into advisor relationships and partnership building.

When not working, Drew pursues boating, golfing, sporting events, comedy shows, and time with loved ones.

Cameron Arnold has dedicated his entire career to the structured notes industry, building expertise across platform, product, and distribution environments. He began at SIMON Markets, where he gained hands-on experience in structured product trading and platform operations. He later joined iCapital, focusing on product strategy and advisor support, helping RIAs evaluate and integrate structured and alternative investments into client portfolios.

Most recently at AAM, Cam partnered with independent advisors to design tailored structured note solutions, providing in-depth analysis, risk assessment, and education to simplify complex derivative structures.

Throughout his career, Cam has maintained a strong focus on independent RIAs, understanding their operational priorities and compliance considerations. His experience spans trading, product development, due diligence, and advisor engagement, giving him a comprehensive view of the structured notes landscape.

A graduate of the University of Alabama, Cam lives in Birmingham, Alabama with his wife, Olivia. Outside of work, he enjoys Alabama football, exploring new restaurants, and playing board games with friends and family.

Jonathan Ryder brings over a decade of experience in financial services, having worked at leading investment banks including Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, and TD Securities. He specializes in equity derivatives and structured products and has spent the latter half of his career in sales, working closely with hedge funds, asset managers, private banks, broker-dealers, and registered investment advisors.

Jonathan's background across both trading and client-facing roles provides him with a practical understanding of market structure, risk dynamics, and the needs of institutional and advisory clients.

A native of New Jersey, Jonathan earned his degree in Finance from Rutgers Business School. Outside of work, he enjoys playing guitar, fishing with his father, restoring watches, and attending live music events with his wife, Ashley.

Mark Lutz joined Marine Layer Advisors in October 2025 as Head of Product, where he oversees internal tools and the client portal. In this role, he focuses on enhancing operational efficiency and improving the advisor experience through thoughtful system design and product development.

Prior to Marine Layer, Mark served as a Portfolio Manager at SpiderRock Advisors, acquired by BlackRock, delivering options overlay solutions to registered investment advisors. His background combines quantitative rigor with practical portfolio implementation.

Mark holds a Master of Science in Financial Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California.

For the past eight years, TJ Widner has distributed structured products across all channels throughout the West Coast, developing experience in delivering investment solutions to financial advisors.

At Marine Layer Advisors, TJ brings that experience to a growing firm focused on providing financial advisors with competitive, innovative solutions. He is especially passionate about representing a firm that offers clients more advantageous solutions while keeping their best interests at the forefront.

Outside work, TJ enjoys staying active - working out at the gym, walking his golden retriever, Cooper, along the beach, and playing as much golf as possible.

At 6'6", TJ has one distinct advantage: he can reach just about anything on the top shelf.

Kevin Hudash began his career as a college basketball coach, spending 10 years in the profession with stops at Penn State University, Florida Gulf Coast University, and the Dallas Mavericks organization.

He later transitioned into finance, serving as a Senior Internal Wholesaler at Pacer ETFs, where he worked with RIAs and family offices across Ohio and mentored a team of internal wholesalers.

Today, Kevin is an Internal Wholesaler at Marine Layer Advisors, where he brings his high energy, relationship-building skills, and commitment to white-glove client support to the firm and the advisors it serves.

Kevin holds both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Penn State University. Outside of work, he serves as an assistant coach at Bonner-Prendergast High School, where his team won the 2026 PA state championship. He lives with his wife, Mary, his high school sweetheart.
